The Selangor FC Women's team finished as runners-up in the National Women's League (LWN) Central Zone 2022 and qualified for the Tun Sharifah Rodziah Cup after defeating KLFA 5-0 at the JSA Arena, Setia Alam yesterday.

For information, Selangor FC Women's team collected 25 points from 8 wins, one draw and one loss. In addition, they managed to score 49 goals and seven clean sheets during the LWN Central Zone 2022.

According to the team's top scorer, Intan Serah, the team has given their best and she hopes the community will be able to accept women playing football.

"This is a good experience for me, as many know I am originally a futsal player but I did not expect to be able to lead the team to the next stage which is in the Tun Sharifah Rodziah Cup.

I think we have given our best even though it was not our rezeki to become champions, the important thing is that everyone has played hard together. 

I hope the community can be more open in accepting women playing football by spreading kindness and  good vibes for us," said Intan Serah.

The Selangor FC Women's Team will compete in the Tun Sharifah Rodziah Cup in the beginning of September. Any further information will be updated later.
